Gabe at the park

We found a little play area a few blocks from our house. Prior to this, we were spending time at the grade school after school let out in the evenings. Now that we have another place to play, Gabe should have a lot more fun. We travelled to the park during Claire's naptime on this beautiful day.

Gabe kept asking to have his picture taken but then would look at the ground as the flash went off.

He thinks this swing is one you have to pump to swing on. This is his best attempt at pumping but mostly he just pulls on the chains with his arms. He kept yelling "Mom! You don't push Gabe!"

Claire's Christmas present from Ryan and Kristin

Grandma didn't believe that the outfit Claire was wearing was cute based on the verbal description so we took some pictures to show her just how cute Claire (and Gabe) really are.

8 months old

Claire is now 8 months old. We waited to get her picture until this morning when she was in her pretty Easter dress. Even though she was pretty tired today, she's always happy to see Pooh. Claire has definitely mastered crawling this month and pulling herself to a stand. She still thinks her big brother is pretty neat and he is finally starting to think it's fun to play with her too. He is constantly asking that she be put down to crawl so that he can chase her. Claire is also trying to feed herself a lot of the time which makes mealtimes a challenge.

Easter

This year, Gabe got to see the Easter Bunny but Claire didn't because she was sick.

We had an Easter egg hunt at our house because we missed all of the ones around here. After a little coaching about what to do, Gabe did a good job finding all the eggs. His favorite part was probably going into the house to find that his eggs had M&Ms in them.

Cookie Monster

So tonight Mom told Gabe that if he picked up all of his blocks and books in the basement he could have a cookie. He was eating his cookie (aka Oatmeal Cream Pie) just fine until he decided to look out the living room window. He put his cookie on the floor and Mom told him that he better get down before Claire crawled over to get his cookie. He didn't listen and Claire grabbed the cookie and gobbled it up.

After the initial period of being mad, Gabe decided it was funny that his sister is a cookie monster just like him!
